Nicaragua to Seattle

Nicaragua to Seattle

Pilgrim Coffeehouse is founded on the principles of service and community. At the heart of community is people and it takes a community to do what we do at Pilgrim. A huge part of that community are the farmers that grow and harvest the coffee we bring to you every day. We are committed to sourcing coffee that is ethically sourced, sustainably produced and fair for all involved. In order to do this we must work with growers who share our values and vision for the future of coffee.

We believe that farmers should be paid fairly for their work and treated with respect.

This is where our "Relationship Coffee" line comes in. As we grow as a company and are blessed with the opportunities to travel to coffee origins and meet the farmers that produce our favorite product, we get to share the stories to our guests first-hand, and allow them the opportunity to participate in the economy of relationships.

In April 2022, Justin and Keith were able to trave to the hillsides of Matagalpa, Nicaragua to meet farmers and being our (hopefully) long-term relationships with Gold Mountain Coffee Growers. We have a 2nd trip planned for January 2023 and will be sharing our experiences here on the blog. So stay tuned!
